Dr. Kevin Gue
Professor of industrial engineering, director of the Logistics and Distribution Institute
Dr. Kevin Gue is professor of industrial engineering at the J.B. Speed School of Engineering at the University of Louisville. Gue holds the Mary Lee and George F. Duthie Endowed Chair of Engineering Logistics, and is director of the Logistics and Distribution Institute.
Gue's research focuses on improving the design and control of logistics systems, including distribution, materials handling and warehousing. He's co-invented several innovative warehouse designs, which have been successfully implemented.
Gue's award-winning warehouse design work and ongoing research seeks to address order fulfillment for e-commerce and puzzle-based, high-density materials handling.
Gue earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics at the U.S. Naval Academy, then his master's in operations research and Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Georgia Tech.
