Dr. Harry Zhang

Dr. Harry Zhang is an assistant professor of computer engineering and computer science at the University of Louisville's J.B. Speed School of Engineering. Zhang also leads the Visualization and Intensive Graphics Lab.
Zhang's research focuses on data visualization, such as that for mathematics, medial information and big data. He's specifically interested in using visual-haptic interfaces to depict abstract mathematical and physical concepts and entities, and combining interactive visualization and super-computing to address modern big data challenges.
Zhang earned his undergraduate and master's degrees in computer science from Zhejiang University, China. He earned his Ph.D. from Indiana University.
