Yampolskiy is an associate professor at the J.B. Speed School of Engineering. He has a special interest in artificial intelligence, along with artificial intelligence safety, behavioral biometrics, cybersecurity, digital forensics, genetic algorithms, pattern recognition and games.
Yampolskiy is the author of Artificial Superintelligence: a Futuristic Approach. His research has also been cited by numerous scientists and profiled on radio shows and in popular magazines, including New Scientist, Poker Magazine and Science World Magazine. His work has also been featured on dozens of websites, including BBC, MSNBC and Yahoo! News.
The event, which Yampolskiy is calling "Future of Artificial Intelligence," begins at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, at Against the Grain Brewery, 401 E. Main St. in downtown Louisville.
