Inventors Council Louisville: IPR's John Gant

John Gant, director of industry partnerships and alliances at the Institute for Product Realization (IPR) at the University of Louisville, will speak at the April 6 open meeting of the Inventors Network Kentucky Louisville council. 

The Inventors Network is a multi-city organization that empowers inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs through education and engagement activities. Gant's talk will center on the IPR, and how it connects industry with campus resources for problem solving, research and development and innovation. 
Gant has more than 25 years’ experience in manufacturing management and compliance in the chemical and primary metals industries. He has served in a variety of leadership roles, including as a general manager for Carbide Industries. Before the IPR, he most recently was director of economic development for Louisville Forward, the city of Louisville’s economic development engine.
Gant is a Louisville native, and holds a bachelor’s degree in geology and a master’s in environmental science, both from Miami University in Ohio. Gant can be reached via email at
