In addition to our advanced manufacturing facilities, the University of Louisville can offer business support to companies. This might mean guidance for startup founders or events and conference space for larger companies.
Among other things, our world-class amenities include on-site security, high-speed internet, events and meeting space and a range of food options, including the University Club, an ideal space for business meals.
Our Shelbyhurst Campus in Eastern Jefferson County houses the Event and Conference Center. Located on more than 200 acres of sprawling green space, this is the perfect location for business meetings and conferences. The center offers a variety of rooms for any need, plus free parking, award-winning catering and other great amenities.
In downtown Louisville, we have the J.D. Nichols Campus for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which is anchored by the Nucleus: Kentucky’s Life Science and Innovation Center. This campus includes co-working space, research facilities and training programs that help expedite collaboration and shared expertise among researchers and companies.
At our College of Business, the Forcht Center for Entrepreneurship offers a comprehensive suite of programs that develop and nurture entrepreneurial skills, experiences and opportunities. Some companies may be taken on as projects by our student consulting teams, or may meet with staff at the center for additional guidance.
We also offer business acceleration programs. The Launch-It program, a 10-week lean startup training program is for startups and early-stage companies, and VetStart is a similar program made free to Kentucky military veterans. We also are launching a new startup marketing mentorship program with the local chamber of commerce.
